Welcome to The Bucket Hat Shop ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website (www.thebuckethatshop.com) or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About us

The Bucket Hat Shop is an online retailer of limited-edition sports bucket hats based in Australia. Our contact email is admin@thebuckethatshop.com. An Australian Business Number (ABN) will be published on this page once registration is complete.

2. Our pre-order model

• Each design is limited to a maximum of 200 units.
• The pre-sale price is AUD $17.50 per hat plus postage & packaging.
• The pre-sale window is 30 days and starts the moment the first hat of that design is purchased.
• If the 200-unit cap is reached before the 30 days lapse, the drop closes early.
• If the 30 days lapse before 200 units are sold, the drop remains open at the standard retail price of AUD $20.00 plus postage & packaging until we choose to close it.
• Every customer who has placed and paid for a pre-order will receive their hat, regardless of whether the 200-unit cap is reached.

3. Placing an order

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the hat(s) on the terms set out on the checkout page and in these Terms. Your order is confirmed only when we successfully process your payment and display a confirmation on-screen. All prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Postage & packaging is charged in addition and shown at checkout.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, a globally recognised payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our systems. By placing an order you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the amount displayed at checkout to your chosen payment method.

5. Production & shipping

• Once a drop closes (either at 200 units or 30 days from the first purchase), we begin production of that design.
• Estimated dispatch is within 30 working days of drop closure, subject to manufacturing timelines.
• Shipping is via Australia Post or a comparable courier. Standard delivery within Australia is 3–7 business days after dispatch. International delivery times vary.
• Risk of loss passes to you once the parcel is handed to the carrier. Where available, tracking numbers will be emailed to you.

6. Cancellations & changes

Because this is a limited pre-order model based on committed manufacturing quantities, orders generally cannot be cancelled once payment is made. However, we will consider reasonable requests made within 24 hours of purchase — email admin@thebuckethatshop.com. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right you have under the Australian Consumer Law (see clause 7).

7. Consumer guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 8. Intellectual property

All designs, artwork, text, logos and imagery on this site are the property of The Bucket Hat Shop (or used with permission of the relevant rights holder). You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use any of this material for commercial purposes without our written consent.

9. Third-party marks

Certain designs may reference team, league or player names for supporter/fan purposes. Such references do not imply any endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship by those third parties unless expressly stated.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of this site or purchase of our products is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state in which you reside.
